Monterey is located on California’s Central Coast, 100 miles south of San Francisco and 300 miles north of Los Angeles.


Fly direct into Monterey:

Monterey Regional Airport, only 10 minutes from Monterey Conference Center offers direct flights from eight cities: Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, San Diego, Denver, Dallas/Fort Worth and Seattle.

Closest International Airports:

San Jose International Airport is a one-hour drive north.  San Francisco International Airport is a two-hour drive north.

Bus or Train:

Amtrak's Coast Starlight train passes through Salinas each day on its route between Seattle, Washington and Los Angeles, providing a scenic way to travel with packages to fit every budget. Free bus service is provided from Salinas to downtown Monterey, a 30-minute ride. There is also a Greyhound station in Salinas with connecting service to Monterey.

Monterey from MRY: 10 minutes
San Jose to Monterey: 1 hour
San Francisco to Monterey: 2 hours
Sacramento to Monterey: 3 hours
Los Angeles to Monterey: 5 hours

There are two routes to Monterey by car, both very scenic. Highway 1 which runs from San Francisco to Los Angeles, offers breathtaking views of the Pacific coastline. Highway 101 runs down the valley corridor and affords the motorist an opportunity to see the rich land that has made the Salinas Valley.

Parking:

There are 900 parking spaces available in the City of Monterey’s Downtown parking structures one block from the Conference Center. Downtown East located on Washington and Tyler Street between Franklin Street and Del Monte Avenue. Maximum vehicle height is 6 feet 8 inches. Downtown West is located between Tyler Street, Franklin Street and Del Monte Avenue. The first hour is free, then $1.00 per 30 minutes (or fraction thereof) with a daily max of $12.00. Daily rates reset at midnight.
